IEEE R2 WIE Meeting/Special Session: Brainstorming Successful WIE Events: What Worked for your Group?
In conjunction with the May 16 IEEE R2 Women in Engineering Affinity Groups Meeting, our WIE friends from the Lehigh Valley Section WIE Affinity Group cordially invite you to attend a special session on, Brainstorming Successful WIE Events: What Worked for your Group? This event is an opportunity for open dialog between new and experienced WIE groups. The goal is two-way sharing and brainstorming, so that we all come away with new ideas and learn some best practices. Here are some questions as a starting point for discussion; more questions and discussion topics are welcomed! - What is the favorite event your WIE group held? - What events would you NOT repeat? - Tips for growing WIE membership. - How to differentiate WIE from SWE on college campuses? - How to make events attractive to college students? - What STEM outreach are you involved in for K-12? - How do you manage events when the geographic area is large? Please reach out to Lehigh Valley Section (LVS) WIE AG Chair Bonnie Rohde or LVS WIE AG Founder Christine Gerveshi if you have any question or interest as a panelist. Co-sponsored by: Lehigh Valley Section Women in Engineering Agenda: 7:30 pm Welcome and Introductions R2 WIE Affinity Group Chairs 7:40 pm R2 WIE Coordinator Updates (Carole Carey) 7:50 pm Panel and Brainstorming Session 8:30 pm Close Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/312516
