Quantitative Imaging: Phantom Development and Technical Assessment

The IEEE Washington, DC/Northern Virgina EMBS section cordially invites you to attend “Quantitative Imaging: Phantom Development and Technical Assessment”, presented by Dr. Qin Li, researcher at Division of Imaging, Diagnostics and Software Reliability of U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr Li will provide an overview of the FDA medical device regulatory framework and the research efforts at her division in quantitative imaging. She will discuss ongoing research in developing phantoms and an assessment paradigm for validating specific quantitative imaging and biomarker claims. Examples on the assessment of lung/liver lesion sizing tools as well as tools for quantifying coronary artery plaque in computed tomography images will be presented in this talk.
