Region 2 Committee Meeting 2022
This meeting is for Region 2 Volunteers (Section Chairs or designees and appointed and elected R2 Committee). The meeting shall include volunteer training, section updates and committee member reports. IMPORTANT NOTE: IEEE at all levels continues to monitor the ongoing pandemic and its evolutions. At this time statistical indicators all lean towards March being relatively safe for the vaccinated. Region 2 will require social distancing during our meetings, observing both local ordinance and best practices for the protection of all. Consistent with this, we require that ALL attendees be fully vaccinated and able to show proof of same if requested. If the intended Section delegate or other attendee is not vaccinated, please select an alternate who is, and have them attend. There will be no exceptions. In addition, we are limiting attendance to Region 2 committee and one officer per section (Section Chair or their designee). IEEE R2 Women in Engineering (WIE) 2022 Kick-off Meeting. Everyone is invited and welcomed! The first part of the meeting is adminstrative and reporting. We look forward to hearing from our eleven WIE Affinity Group (AG)Chairs (or designated persons) and four Area Task Leads! Following the reports, our guest speaker, Dr. Yuji Zhang will have a presentation entitled, "From Big Data to Precision Medicine: a Data Science Perspective." Yuji will also be sharing her career journey. She has a BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering from Southeast University, China and a PhD in Computer Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, USA.
