IEEE PES meeting – “What’s So Tough About Toughened Glass Insulators?”

November 8, 2023 @ 21:00 - November 9, 2023 @ 00:00

This presentation on Toughened Glass Insulators (TGIs) will provide information on the superior mechanical, electrical, safety, and reliability performance of these suspension-type insulators. A brief pictorial history of the development of powerline insulation will be shown. A comparison of some of the critical properties of TGIs with the classic porcelain suspension units they are replacing and the aging and resilience of both insulators will be made. There are no bad questions, only bad answers! 🙂 ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED Speaker(s): Joe Agenda: Wednesday, November 8th; Everyone Welcome; Pre-Registration Required; No Fees.
