  • Harrell V. Noble AwardThe Harrell V. Nobel Award is given to an outstanding candidate who has made significant contributions to the research, development, and/or application of electronic devices or in education, or management in the area of electronic devices.   The modern term of electronic devices should be viewed to include nano / micro and photonic devices or structures, mixed-signal integrated circuits, modeling, simulation, interface and/or performance evaluation studies, computer analysis and synthesis of distributed network systems.
    • The nominee must be a member of the Dayton Section IEEE.
    • The awardee will receive a plaque and a monetary award from a fund donated by the late Dr. Harrell V. Noble and the Dayton Section.
  • Dr. Fritz J. Russ Bio-Engineering AwardThe Dr. Fritz J. Russ Bio-Engineering Award is given to the outstanding candidate who has been involved in research and development, teaching, or management furthering the objectives of bio-engineering in the Dayton area for at least 3 years.  Bio-Engineering covers the physical and engineering sciences in biology and medicine, ranging from formalized mathematical theory through experimental science and technological development to practical clinical applications.
    • The nominee must be a member of the Dayton Section IEEE.
    • The award shall consist of an individual plaque, Awardee’s name added to a perpetual plaque, and a monetary award.

Krishna M. Pasala,Ph.D., Memorial Scholarship
To pay tribute to our friend and colleague, the IEEE Dayton Section established the Krishna M. Pasala, Ph.D. Memorial Scholarship.  This annual $1000 scholarship will recognize the academic excellence of one graduate student within the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the University of Dayton.  The student must be an active IEEE member.  The $1,000 Scholarship may be used toward the purchase of books or other educational materials.  More information can be found at:
The Krishna M. Pasala,Ph.D., Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship founded by the IEEE Dayton Section and managed by the IEEE Foundation.
