This presentation will first discuss insulation design challenges associated with high voltage electrical stress, as well as environmental stress under fight-like conditions. The second part will focus on electric field management in the electrical insulation to prevent partial discharge and disruptive discharges. The last part of the presentation will cover electrical insulation partial discharge detection and insulation qualification.
