The University of Dayton Student Chapter successfully conducted their 2nd Annual mini-SPAC (student professional awareness conference) on Monday, September 8th. The theme of the evening was entry into the workforce. Mr. Ted Tracy provided valuable insight to students on how to successfully navigate a job search and the early years of a career in his talk titled “Suggestions for a Successful Career.” A panel made up of three Electrical Engineers provided their early career experiences. A great interactive dialog followed with Q&A’s about graduate school, job skills, importance of grades, relocating, benefits vs. take home pay, and many more topics. The evening concluded with a casual networking session where students and working professionals mingled. Door prizes for attendees were also a hit with the audience. PEAL members Seana McNeal, Mike Blair, and Kevin Yost participated in the mini-SPAC.
